Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner has reportedly trademarked the name ‘Prince of Persia Prodigy’, fueling online talk that this could be the name of the next Prince title from Ubisoft. A new game is in the works at Ubisoft Montreal, and the trademark application was apparently made in Mechner’s name last week, according to Trademork. The filing appears to cover PCs and consoles, not to mention mobile and handheld platforms, although this could be standard legalese and perhaps doesn’t indicate potential launch platforms. More on this as Ubi let us in on the act. Read more… »
Hearings about port Grand Theft Auto 4 will not cease only until while developers will officially confirm or will deny them. For now we shall talk about the friend console franchise which offers us full freedom of action and a criminal plot.
First Saints Row has received high estimations only owing to absence of similar projects on consoles of new generation. The buyer only got used to good the schedule and complained of lack of games. Now, when there was Grand Theft Auto 4, to its clones prepeared not the most pleasant destiny. Hearings soared in the Network that Saints Row 2 will appear on PC, but any acknowledgement were not. Now there was at least a serious acknowledgement to hearings. On the largest western on-line shop Amazon there was an announcement of the PC-version of the project.
According to a site, game will leave in the end of summer. By means of this syllogism the publisher will overtake possible PC-version Grand Theft Auto 4 and will get rid of serious confrontation.
What to tell? Hardly PC-version Saints Row 2 will miss in decent circulation. And it depends not only on quality of the project, but also from weak parameters of pc platform.
A new Prince of Persia game should be on store shelves in time for the holiday season and will be available for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Ubisoft announced today.
News of an upcoming Prince of Persia title leaked out in January in an Ubisoft quarterly financial statement, but the company officially commented on the planned game for the first time this week.
The upcoming game, still untitled, is being developed by the same Ubisoft Montreal team that worked on the original Prince of Persia trilogy and last year’s ambitious Assassin’s Creed.
Details are still thin, but in a news release Ubisoft said the new Prince of Persia title “is opening a new chapter in the Prince of Persia universe, featuring a new breed of gameplay. The game is poised to rejuvenate the action-adventure genre in addition to introducing a brand-new illustrative art style.”
Ubisoft also said it plans to release a Prince of Persia game specifically designed for the Nintendo DS, featuring “an entirely new storyline and new characters.”
Few lucky subscribers have received the June issue of German PC Games magazine in advance and thanks to that, we’ve got the first details on Spellbound’s upcoming RPG:
Gothic 4: Arcania for PC, X360 and PS3 hasn’t got a release date yet, it’ll be done “when it’s done” and won’t miss out on this year’s Game Convention.
Thanks to 2K Czech, Mafia 2 coming better and better every day
Anybody here isn’t crazy for GTA IV? 360 gamers running a muck about it and their DLC with PS3 fans going crazy over finally playing one of the most anticipated titles to date. Even the PC crowd is joining in on the action and asking about when it’s likely GTA will come for the PC.
So, what Rockstar tells about it?
As for GTA IV coming out on the PC, that’s very doubtful as we currently have no plans to develop for the PC. We could only focus our efforts extensively on so many consoles at once, and PC might not see the light of day.
