Gears of War has great gameplay. Beyond that, we really don’t remember much about it. (Oh well, we remember that The Cliffster made it back when he had another name.) But according to voice actor Carlos Ferro, who’s Dominic Santiago, the sequel packs an emotional wallop. Says Ferro:
I said it. It’s going to be more emotionally effecting than Bioshock. A lot happens.
Good games don’t have to do everything right, they just need to do at least one thing right (and really right). Everything else is gravy — emotional crying scenes, included!

-Most of the campaign takes place in the Locust underworld. About 30% of the battles take place underground
-Squad commands (Attack/Regroup/Hold position) have been removed

-More vehicular sections were promised
-Takes place six months after the deployment of the lightmass bomb
-The deployment of the bomb caused the Immulsion to turn gaseous, which affected the citizens of Jacinto with a disease called ‘Rust Lung’
Announced for November 2008 by Microsoft, today we can assure you that Gears of War 2 leaves precisely to Europe on 17 of November. Also if you can’t wait to get your hands on Microsoft Games Too Human in Europe, you’ll be getting your hands on the game in current August, August 2008. As of now there is no official North American release date for Gears of War 2 but it’s rumored for a November 16 release window.

Yes, Gears of War 2 will have a Halo-style matchmaking system.
There will be respawning multiplayer modes, but the focus is still towards traditional non-respawn gaming.
Multiplayer game modes:
- “Guardian” game mode: A remade version of Gears‘ Assassination game mode where the objective is still to kill the other team’s leader, but players keep respawning as long as their leader is alive. Opponents’ leader will be marked on the HUD to keep the game moving along.
